hatred

Posted by hormd at 12:49 PM on March 3, 2004.

i hate guys with long hair
and guys who cant drive
i hate those lazy bastards
with no focus in life

i hate guys that are whipped
doing stuff for girls all the time
and then there are those single guys
that do nothing but whine

i hate guys with low self esteem
or that needs to be the center of attention
i hate guys that take "no" for an answer
before they even ask the question

this is a small list of things i hate
and what i have at number one
is the worst thing i hate in the world
the fact that i'm all that and then some

your skin is as soft as the month of may
your hair is as smooth as the milky way
your smile is like a billboard i can see from afar
i like your fragrance more than the smell of a new car

you're looking at me with those big anime eyes
your jedi mind powers are greater than mine
your voice echoes thoughout this emptiness inside
like the annoying dogs that keep me awake at night

i always get all nervous like <_< and >_>
you turn me from -____- to something like ^____^
dont know what i feel, so lost and confused
but it all make sense, when i'm with you...

david: u mean about how your program looks ugly?

tech preferences

Posted by hormd at 05:52 PM on March 7, 2004.

i was just chilling with ryan and kevin in lab. nobody felt like doing their work, so we were just dinking around and started talkin about our different setups for random programs. kevin by far has the coolest setup for the newest winamp. first he puts it in windowshade mode so that it's the size of the status bar. he also brings it down to the bottom where the status bar would be. then he puts the opacity at 40% transparent and checks the option so that it is opaque at hover. and to finish it off, he checks the option so that it's always on top. i dont think i need to explain why this setup is crazy sexy.

and then ryan converted me to trillian. i'm not really a trillian user because i just use aim, and sometimes go on msn if i need to. but he showed me all these plugins for it. i'm just really interested in the news reader, cuz they just reads rss feeds, which means that i can keep track of blogs on trillian. i contributed to the pot by telling them that xanga and livejournal offers rss feeds.

ryan also showed that you can IM cell phones on aim. the screen name you enter is +12061231234, so if you ever need to text me, or anybody else for that matter. and for those that dont know, i blog on tabulas, but then it automatically cross posts to my livejournal and xanga accounts.

i seek me

Posted by hormd at 08:21 PM on March 7, 2004.

when we last left our hero, he was thinking about using trillian. david then remembered that a long time ago he used icq, and he wanted to use that old number because your l33tness is determined by how low that number is. so i go on icq searching it using on of his first aliases, pimperd. that nick name did not turn up any results, and so david tried searching again using one of his old emails. that actually turned up some results one of which had the nick name PimpinD. and in the profile description was "My name is David, I'm 14 year old from Lynnwood, Virgin Islands (USA) and my ICQ number is 14934469"

so he's thinkin, "david...from lynnwood...is this me, or some other kid?" he clicked to see what other info he can find and BAM, there's his home phone number. stupid 14 year old version of david didn't know the difference between virgin island and usa. so now with his old icq number, david hopes that he can remember the password. luckily, david uses the same set of passwords for generic things and he found out that one of his oldest passwords worked for the login. my l33tness as been quantified.

top ten wrestlemania matches

Posted by hormd at 11:03 PM on March 13, 2004.

the wwe superstars came together and voted on the top ten wrestlemania matches. watching the different clips brought back some good old memories. missed it? dont worry, i dont feel like doing my write ups right now, so i'll just go over it.

10 - kurt angle vs chris benoit
angle uses olympic-style wrestling, and benoit was the best technical wrestler ever. this match had no flashy moves, but it was all about grapples and reversals. this match was different from the rest and also one of the best matches ever.

9 - hulk hogan vs ultimate warrior
before rock lee, there was ultimate warrior. back then hulk hogan was the champion and everybody's favorite. but ultimate warrior was the underdog that never gave up. and everybody roots for the underdogs.

8 - stone cold steve austin vs shawn michaels
i dont remember the match much. but mike tyson was the ref, and this was when tyson screwed over austin and triple h came by to create dx.

7 - hulk hogan & mr. t vs roddy piper & mr. wonderful
i didn't see this, but it was supposidely the match that started the whole hype of wrestlemania.

6 - stone cold steve austin vs bret hart(submission match)
i remember everybody was saying how bret had the sharpshooter to get austin to submit, but what did austin have? well add he had was a can of whoop ass, and that's what made this such a good match. austin's head started bleeding all over the place, and bret got him in the sharpshooter. austin didn't quit, but he did faint, and ken shamrock called the match. oh the drama...

5 - the rock vs hollywood hulk hogan
the clash of the titans right here. this was when wwf bought out wcw and the two legends meet for the first time. the interesting thing was that i thought that rocky was the fan favorite, but half the crowd was cheering on hogan. for some reason, that added even more to the hype, well for me at least.

4 - ricky the dragon steamboat vs randy macho man savage
i didn't see this match, but from the clips that they showed, it looks really exciting. but then again, anything with dramatic music in the background can be pretty exciting.

3 - razor ramon vs shawn michaels (ladder match)
the first ladder match ever, and body did they do it with a bang. i think michaels got screw though from getting caught in the ropes.

2 - edge & christian vs hardy boys vs dudly boyz (tlc match)
the ladder match was such a big hit, that they decided to make a tables, ladders, and chairs match. this match is my personal favorite. some of the more exciting matches in the video game are TLC matches too.

1 - shawn michaels vs bret hart (iron man match)
60 minutes, no holds barred, no disqalifactions, no commerical interruptions, no half time show, pure madness. bret got michaels in the sharpshooter, but time ran out and he just up and left. but there was no winner, so they extended the match to a sudden death style. a classic...

survival project

Posted by hormd at 11:17 AM on March 14, 2004.

spring break's here, and i need a new game to play. sure i can finish my ff x-2 game i started winter break, but i need some online game i can kick ur asses in. i asked around, and the person that introduced me to ragnarok online (the previous addictive game) told me about a game called survival project. it sounds like it has all the characteristics of an addictive game: cute anime characters, team oriented battles, and best of all, it's free. so i'll check it out, but if u wants, u can get a headstart now. if not, then prepare for pwnage.

in conclusion...

Posted by hormd at 08:45 PM on March 15, 2004.

the verdict is in: chris thinks it's awesome, justin isn't feeling it, tho said it crashed his computer, and i was still undecided about survival project. so that only means one thing, ask richard, cuz richard only plays cool games. and sure enuff, when i asked him, he said he heard about it. richard played it for a few hours before getting sick of it. the he told me if i wanted to get into a game, i should check out lineage 2. hmm, i remember anthony showing me a trailer of that last quarter. and it's in beta version over here, and i guess this is the game people in korea die for, literally.

i'm reinstalling xp on my laptop. dunno why. it's so messed up right now. lora wanted me to rename it to nemo cuz it has a retarded side. and i think my memory stick is skipping on me when i play mp3s...dammit, i want my friggin oqo, but it just had to be two years behind production.

something to think about...

Posted by hormd at 11:40 PM on March 15, 2004.

"it cant be helped...men display things through actions instead of words. if it's something tough, they dont want to let another feel the same way. and they dont want someone else to worry. that's why they dont tell you. but in the end, perhaps you're the only one they can show their weak sides to."

the things that anime makes you think about...you guys should watch some full metal alchemist. and i'm gonna go find me naruto's second soundtrack.

grades out

Posted by hormd at 09:56 PM on March 23, 2004.

info 311 (philosophical crap) = 3.6
this is where i learned that with problems, there is no silver bullet that'll solve it. and that you can always blame the government.

info 341 (networking and nap time) = 3.8
this was the first time i had a teacher that plays halo, listens to electronic music, and has a wife that plays everquest.

info 344 (iron programmer) = 3.9
i always tell employers i work well in teams or by myself. this class taught me that if i dont like my team, then i'll just work by myself.

and on a side note, i think i'm gonna give up on the imagination cup cuz justin lost his motivation. and besides, would people really wanna track their progress on a pda when working out?

i needs...

Posted by hormd at 07:59 PM on March 25, 2004.

after khmer skit practice, i went to go hang out with jimmy at his apartment. it's kinda funny how i'm cuzins with his roommate (kevin), but the first time i went to their apartment was cuz jimmy invited me over. but yeah it was funny listening to them braggin bout their awesome location. rick's the the left, deja vu to the right, and dick's right down the street. college life cant get any better than that. but hanging out with them made me think...i need to move out... and then that made me think even more, i need to do a lot of things. and i'll list em in reverse chronological order:

  • move out (maybe with chris?)

  • secure steady source of income

  • pay off all my credit card bills

  • stop spending money

  • meet new people

  • reinvent myself

  • get into a major

two cents...

Posted by hormd at 08:46 PM on March 26, 2004.

going clubbin tonight, so i had my dad cut my hair. he brought up the topic of who i was gonna vote for this presidental election. i always hate answering that question because my parents are politically brainwashed zombies that will try to bite your ear off and turn you into a zombie too, like in the resident evil game. and it's not only my parents, but some people are like that regardless of political party. i dont mind debating, but when you rebut me with "i'm right, ur wrong, now look deeeeeep into my eyes" i just dont wanna listen to em.

here are the reasons (in order of importance) i dont go out and vote: (1) i dont know when to vote, (2) dunno who to vote for, (3) too lazy to drive to my elementary school, and too lazy to get an absentee ballot. so using my googling skills, i found out about this presidential candidate selector to help me figure out who said what. it's exactly what i needed to help with reason (2).

not only does that site have a presidential cadidate selector, but also a naruto character selector...i'm still hinata...oh well, u cant hate a hyuuga. speaking of naruto, i just finished watching ep 76. *mini-spoiler* and all i gotta say is my special ninja technique is gonna be inflicting emotional pain for sure.

debriefing

Posted by hormd at 09:01 PM on March 27, 2004.

is spring time even here yet? well anyway, cupid worked his magic again, this time he arrow'd two couples in one shot. i wanna say, "damn i'm good" but there's somethings still left unfinished.

but anyway, i wanted to debrief you guys on operation leash. on that successful operation we learned that when you're obsessed with a girl, and you're being stupid about it, the only way to break that obsession is to add a new girl into the equation. the purpose of trying to break the obsession is because it usually feels better.

an obsession is kinda like drinking tea. it comes in a small cup, and it taste good. when you finish it, there's always that person to fill it back up for you, and you just keep on drinking cuz it taste good. but you know what, eventually you're gonna have to pee. and with that, we're not commencing operation IMOK.

break's over...

Posted by hormd at 10:58 PM on March 28, 2004.

a blurry week it's been. a lot has happen and yet my blog is so empty. well that's because i'm either working, practicing for the khmer skit, or doing something mundane. but it was fun anyway. i had a lot of plans for this spring break, and right now the only thing i kinda started was developing a game for my cell. i was gonna show you a list of projects i wanted to do over spring break, but never started...yeah, that list got too long too fast.

oh well, the cool thing is that my main sources of motivation are crushed dreams. the only time i self improve myself is in spite of fate. right now i'm tryin to stay ahead/keep up with my readings. but it's kinda hard when only one of my classes have the reading assignments posted. *sigh*...i dont wanna goto school...

you've been gone for too long. it's been fifty-leven days, um-teen hours. i'mma be burnin til you return.
